We live in Sonoma, CA, in the heart of the wine country. Our home is an historic old house that includes a huge park-like backyard. We are only two blocks from the famous Plaza and are surrounded by great friends and neighbors. We came to Sonoma on one of our first dates. At that time, Nancy mentioned what a perfect place to raise a family this little town was. We came here the weekend after our engagement to find a home. As soon as we saw this quirky little house with the three front doors, we knew we had to look inside. We have four bedrooms, three baths and a hallway just built for a little one to run down. In fact, our friend’s children cannot wait to play in the hall with their Hot Wheels or wind-up toys.
We look forward to including our child in the old-fashioned Fourth of July celebrations; weekly Farmer’s Market where we have pot-luck dinners with our friends and their children; going to the duck pond; stopping to see the Clydesdale horses down the street; and, going to Train Town to ride the trains and merry-go-round. We are surrounded by great schools, churches and parks and lots of activities for children. Family and community are the heart and soul of this town. Sonoma is only an hour from San Francisco, thirty minutes to the beach and just a few hours from beautiful Lake Tahoe. We share our home with our two “kitty kids:” Emily and Molly. They both love children, catnip and eating Nancy’s flowers. Emily specializes in lying on the deck in the sun and Molly “the jungle cat” loves to weave in and out of the plants and pounce on her sleeping sister!
